Today is Day of Caring! This year, over 6,000 volunteers representing over 200 workplaces are lending a hand to local nonprofit agencies.
Here at Goodwill of the Finger Lakes, we have two groups from Paychex and one group from First American Finance helping us prepare to serve the community!
Our friends from Paychex helped get our Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Garden and Playground ready for the season. They spent the day clearing the paths that our O&M Specialist and VRTs use to help clients get used to using their white canes outside, planting herbs for our sensory garden, and planting flowers to beautify the space!
Our friends from First American Finance organized all of the coats for our Good Neighbor Program (and donated some new ones, too!). This is hugely helpful in making sure that we have enough supplies to keep the community warm in the cold winter months.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped prepare and make our spaces beautiful for the people we serve, and who helped organize goods and supplies for Good Neighbor!
