Donor Privacy Policy

Goodwill of the Finger Lakes and the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI) are committed to protecting the privacy of their financial, material and in-kind donors, whether the donation is made in-person, online, by mail, or any other method. Our donors expect that we will use their support wisely. They also place their faith and trust in us concerning the personal information that they may disclose with their gifts. We value our donors’ trust and we recognize that maintaining this trust requires us to be transparent and accountable to our supporters and the public at all times.

We do not sell, share or trade our donors’ personal information with any other entity. In addition, we do not send mailings to our donors on behalf of other organizations, unless a donor has given us specific permission to do so.

Goodwill of the Finger Lakes and ABVI have vendors that assist with processing and managing mailings and donor data. On occasion we give these vendors access to donor data, and they are bound by strict confidentiality rules.
