ADP Registration
Below are the steps to register a new hire in ADP. These steps can also be used for current employees who have never completed the ADP registration process.
CAUTION: Initial registration must be completed on a computer, NOT on a mobile device.
Step 1: Begin Registration on the ADP Platform
- https://workforcenow.adp.com/
- Registration is only able to be completed via Workforce Now, not myADP or the mobile app. The pages look identical, but the web address is different.
- Click the Get Started link next to New User
Step 2: First Screen – “Find Me” vs “Registration Code”
- Click Find Me, the first button option.
- Common mistake: People think their Associate ID is a registration code. It is not.
Step 3: Second Screen – “Phone” vs “Find My Information”
- Choose “Find My Information” (second radial button), not the email/mobile option.
Step 4: Enter Your Information
- Enter your Name, DOB, Country, and Employee/Associate ID. Do NOT enter your Social Security Number.
- Name must match exactly how you applied in the system:
EXAMPLE: If you applied as Kathy- use Kathy, not Katherine
EXAMPLE: If you applied as Smith JR, include the JR - It does NOT need to be your legal name—just the name used in the application.
Step 5: Enter Associate ID, DO NOT ENTER Social Security Number
- Associate ID is only for our organization's accounts.
- The Associate ID can be found on the "Register for ADP Self-Service" email from noreply@ADP.com.
- If you enter your SSN, it will pull every profile associated with that SSN. This can cause confusion if you have multiple profiles under different employers. Does not usually pull up Goodwill page.
- Using the Associate ID will avoid this problem and find your account connected specifically to Goodwill of the Finger Lakes.
TIP: Common Issues & Fixes
- Issue: User enters phone number → nothing happens.
- Fix: Use “Find My Information” instead.
