What is your role here at Goodwill of the Finger Lakes?
I’m the store manager of the Webster retail location. I oversee a staff of around 40 employees.
What do you enjoy most about working at Goodwill?
I took the job with Goodwill to return to a non-profit, mission-oriented company where our day-to-day successes directly contributes to the many programs which Goodwill runs and supports in the community that we call home. It’s very fulfilling knowing that as a retail store manager, .90 cents of every dollar generated in our locations is doing so much good and changing lives.
What activities do you enjoy in your free time?/What is a fun fact about yourself?
In my free time I’m a huge Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan, GO BILLS! A fun fact about me? I’ve been a runner for the past several years and have run a minimum of 1 mile every day for the past 7 years (and counting) which started on October 4, 2015. This gives me the 903rd (of 4095) longest streak registered worldwide with Streak Runners International. I have also completed a bunch of marathons, ultramarathons, and have even completed a 100-mile run in February 2019 in 29 hours, 46 mins.
Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is a not-for-profit organization supporting the Rochester and Syracuse area communities. Headquartered in Rochester, NY, Goodwill of the Finger Lakes along with Goodwill Vision Enterprises (formerly ABVI) have a very long and successful history of creating job opportunities and serving the community through the Good Neighbor program, 211/LIFE LINE, and our vision services. In addition, we have several Goodwill thrift store locations offering second-hand clothing for men, women, and children as well as home goods and other accessories.
