Cashier. I have been with Goodwill for 13 and a half years. I started at the Goodwill in Victor, then transferred to the Geneseo store. Now I am at the Webster location and have been here since 2016!
What is your role at Goodwill?
I run the register by waiting on people, giving them the right change back, asking for round ups (that support our mission!), being nice to everyone and giving them a smile. I also help on the floor by doing recovery from the dressing room, cleaning, and straightening up the racks.
What do you enjoy the most about working for Goodwill?
My co-workers. We all work as a team to get stuff done. I also like the customers I deal with every day.
What activities do you enjoy in your free time?
I enjoy karaoke, dancing, going out to see live local music, and going for walks. I also have a Smurf collection!
Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is a not-for-profit organization supporting the Rochester and Syracuse area communities. Headquartered in Rochester, NY, Goodwill of the Finger Lakes along with Goodwill Vision Enterprises (formerly ABVI) have a very long and successful history of creating job opportunities and serving the community through the Good Neighbor program, 211/LIFE LINE, and our vision services. In addition, we have several Goodwill thrift store locations offering second-hand clothing for men, women, and children as well as home goods and other accessories.
