My name is Monique Sullivan, she/her. I enjoy thrifting, sewing, taking pictures and socializing.
What are your favorite items to thrift for and why?
My favorite item to thrift for are clothes, particularly wrap around dresses. They compliment my curves and boost my self esteem!
What has been your best Goodwill find?
My best Goodwill find has been a beautifully made Oscar De La Renta dress (in fact I modeled this dress in the Goodwill Gala fashion show).
Do you have a favorite Goodwill store? If so, why is it your favorite?
My favorite Goodwill store is the Goodwill Clearance Center aka TheBins! I love the hunt, the thrill of what I can find, and because shopping at TheBins is a mystery, I love styling looks with what I find (find me on Instagram @niquee32 - I post all of my looks here).
Do you have any thrifting tips for novice secondhand shoppers?
I enjoy dressing up when I’m thrifting, it allows me to see the outfit and how I want to style it.
