Ride Program Details

What:
Free rides to the polls on Election Day to anyone with a disability living in Monroe County

Who to Call:
Registered Democrats call: (585) 232-2410
Registered Republicans call: (585) 546-8040

You must call ahead to request your ride. The earlier the better, so call now if you need transportation on Election Day. No proof of disability is required. Rides are provided by Medicab and volunteers. Each party is sponsoring their transportation program.

Don’t forget to use the Imagecast Ballot Marking Device (BMD). This is an accessible voting machine that anyone with a disability can use independently. These accessible voting machines are a work in progress, so input on your voting experience is very valuable to improving the quality of the Imagecast BMD. If anyone would like to share your experience—negative or positive, on your voting experience, please forward your comments to ABVI’s Director of Advocacy and Consumer Affairs, Rene Latorre and she will be sure the feedback is reported to Dominion.

Also, Rene says that anyone can obtain a manual on how to use the BMD in advance. The person would just need to contact Rene and she would be happy to forward the manual to him or her electronically. If you are not familiar with the Imagecast BMD, it may help to make things go more smoothly at the polls.

Happy voting!
