ABVI inspires service excellence

Apr 28, 2011

David Tee Boon came to ABVI in 1985, straight from graduation at the State School for the Blind. He has worked in almost every part of the agency’s Manufacturing Department and currently spends most of his time working on the production of Easel Pads and Sticky Notes. He is proud of his ability to do more than one job and enjoys helping out wherever he is needed.

While the transition from school to work was hard at first, David’s attitude has changed over the years. He has learned to be more flexible and to face his fears. David was a Spirit Award nominee in 2010 and received his 25 Year Award at the Employee Celebration held at the beginning of 2011.

ABVI is a great place for David to work because he enjoys working with people who are blind or visually impaired. David models the value of “Service Excellence.” He tries to complete as much work as possible each day and feels great when he does good work.
