ABVI welcomes 3 new employees

The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI) announces the appointment of three new employees:

Kristen O’Connell

New position: Development Manager
A Rochester resident, Ms. O’Connell previously worked as an ODI Project Manager at Xerox Corporation, a Community Integration Assistant at Lifetime Assistance and, most recently, as a Special Events Specialist with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She has a B.A. degree in Communications with a minor in Public Relations from SUNY Geneseo.

Megan Maszczak

New Position: Accounts Payable Administrator
Megan, an Ontario, Wayne County resident, previously worked at SUNY Morrisville in Residential Construction and has several years of retail experience from her work with JC Penney in various departments, including her recent position as the Pricing and Signing Associate. She completed an Associate of Science degree in Architectural Studies and Design from SUNY Morrisville and a B.S. in Accounting from SUNY Brockport.

Ashley Illuzzi

New Position: Human Resources Intern
Ashley, a resident of Getzville in Erie County, will support ABVI’s People Resources Department in its recruiting initiatives during her internship. During her most recent internship experience, Ashley served as a Marketing Assistant with the Kidney Foundation of Upstate New York. She has also worked at SUNY Geneseo as an Administrative Assistant and as a Program Director for WGSU. She is working toward a degree in Business Administration from the college.
