“When Goodwill of the Finger Lakes closed the Attended Donation Center (ADC) on Bay Road at the end of October due to the safety challenges of the drop-off area, it was imperative that a better suited and convenient location was found for the many people in the community who consistently donate to our organization in support of our 211/Lifeline and ABVI mission,” said Jennifer Lake, President of Goodwill of the Finger Lakes. “We wanted to make it easy for this community to continue giving their gently used items a new life, which when added with the rest of the region diverts 25 million pounds of stuff from ending up in local landfills each year.”
Lake notes that this new location will also hold Goodwill’s first dedicated used book store. This portion of the building will open in the new year.
