Goodwill Announces Launch of Everyday Deals Pricing

Mar 5, 2019

Goodwill of the Finger Lakes today announced the launch of Everyday Deals pricing throughout all of its retail stores in the Rochester and Syracuse markets beginning on Monday, March 18, 2019.

“Many of our Goodwill shoppers have asked us to lower our clothing prices, and we listened! We are excited to announce our new Everyday Deals pricing, which lowers our prices and gives our customers more savings every day,” says Jennifer Lake, Vice President of Donated Goods Retail.

Lake points out that with Everyday Deals, shoppers will get consistent low prices at Goodwill stores because of unit pricing. For example, women’s and men’s jeans will all be priced starting at $5.83 regardless of brand versus the $6.99 current price.

Donors and shoppers help Goodwill fund its mission of changing lives through empowering people with barriers to independence to overcome those barriers. Every time a person shops Goodwill and makes a purchase, that helps to fund our mission programs and services like the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI), 2-1-1/LIFE LINE, and Workforce Development.

“Without the donations and the customers to purchase them, we wouldn’t be able to change the lives of over 155,000 people annually,” says Lake.

Everyday Deals Bring New Shopping Experience

Shoppers will see new white tags on clothing items in place of the colored tags. And there will be store signage that will indicate the new, lower Everyday Deals unit pricing for these items. Apparel will still have the colored sizing tags to help customers find the items that are just right for them.

The transition to Everyday Deals and the white pricing tags means the Color of the Week 50 percent pricing discount will be ending. As of March 18th there will no longer be a Color of the Week discount available in any of our stores.

“There were limited Color of the Week items in our stores, which frustrated customers,” says Lake.

“Now,” continues Lake “Our shoppers can buy what they want when they want, and they don’t have to wait for it to be the Color of the Week to get a good deal.”

Lake says this will maximize the fun of shopping Goodwill and bringing home a real “#ThiftHaul” worthy of posting on social media and sharing with friends and family, alike.

“With Goodwill’s new Everyday Deals pricing, it’s all about the thrill of the hunt,” exclaims Lake.

Lake reminds shoppers that are still interested in shopping for the 50 percent off discount that they can do that at the Goodwill Outlet at 3350 Monroe Avenue across from Pittsford Plaza.
