On August 16, 2025, family, community members, staff, and leadership gathered at the Goodwill of the Finger Lakes headquarters to celebrate the first-ever graduation for Goodwill Learning Academy — honoring three adult graduates who earned their New York State High School Equivalency Diploma.
The 2025 graduating class stands as a powerful testament to GLA’s mission to transform lives. Keynote speaker New York State Senator Samra Brouk emphasized the academy’s impact and the students’ promise. Jennifer Lake, President and CEO of Goodwill of the Finger Lakes, highlighted the unique opportunities available for each student through their individualized curriculum.
GLA, through the National External Diploma Program, offers adult learners a unique pathway to complete their high school education. By providing 1:1 coaching, education case management, devices and equipment, transportation, and wellness services, GLA addresses barriers to education and career opportunities.
