Goodwill of the Finger Lakes hosted its annual Veterans Day Breakfast, bringing together staff, community members, and honored guests to recognize and thank those who have served our nation. The event was a heartfelt tribute to the courage and sacrifice of veterans, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to supporting those who have served.
Jennifer Lake, President & CEO of Goodwill of the Finger Lakes, delivered a moving address during the breakfast, emphasizing the strength, resilience, and leadership veterans bring to both their communities and workplaces. “We are honored to work alongside veterans and deeply appreciate their commitment, strength, and guidance,” Lake shared.
The breakfast featured a symbolic display of the Missing Man Table. This setting serves as a powerful reminder of fallen, missing, or imprisoned U.S. military service members. Each element of the table carries meaning — from the single red rose symbolizing sacrifice to the empty chair representing those who cannot join us.
The event is always much more than a meal. It is a moment of reflection and gratitude. Goodwill of the Finger Lakes continues to empower programs and opportunities that uplift veterans, ensuring they receive the respect and resources they deserve.
