We are beyond thrilled and humbled to share this exciting news with you, which you may have already read about. We learned that Philanthropist MacKenzie Scott has chosen Goodwill of the Finger Lakes as one of the 384 incredibly lucky (and humbled) not-for-profit Organizations to gift a “life changing” charitable donation. To say this is a silver lining at the end of the toughest year we as an Organization – and as people – have had to face is an understatement.
In January, we’ll receive the gift agreement and funds from Ms. Scott, and at that time, will disclose the amount and how our Board of Directors intends to best utilize this gift. We fully recognize this is a direct result of our entire team’s hard work and efforts to support our Community in many different ways. To our Goodwill of the Finger Lakes family, this wouldn’t be possible without each of you. Thank you for making the difference!
We have fought every single day to support our community throughout this pandemic, and to be included as a beneficiary named by Ms. Scott, and to be on her radar, is not only a true honor for our Organization and Goodwill’s future, but it’s something special for our entire community.
