“Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is a vital community resource and this time of year we wanted to offer individuals and families throughout the Greater Rochester area access to free, easy and secure tax preparation,” says Workforce Development Manager JoBeth Rath.

While there are many free filing options available online, the service Goodwill is making available through its website GoodwillFingerLakes.com offers the highest threshold for free filing, in addition to offering free filing for both Federal and State returns.

“Many of the other tax preparation tools on the market only offer Federal return filing for free,” says Rath.

Goodwill is also offering access to free tax preparation services for individuals and families who do not have Internet access. To access this service, call 2-1-1 and a representative will provide referrals to free tax preparation services for qualified individuals.
