New E-Commerce Site Launched for Goodwill's Manufacturing Division

Oct 26, 2021

Office products now available online to support Goodwill’s mission

Goodwill of the Finger Lakes, a leading not-for-profit organization based in Rochester with operations throughout the Finger Lakes region, is excited to launch its easy-to-use e-commerce site gflsolutions.org. The site is part of Goodwill’s social enterprise model, and the goal is additional revenue to support its mission, programs, services, people and the greater community.

"The GFL Solutions site offers world class products produced or packaged by individuals with barriers to employment in Rochester, NY. Our offerings include items for the office or work from home professional such as a variety of self-stick notes, flags and easel pads, Dymo SKILCRAFT label printers and portable laptop monitors - with more products on the way", says Jason Avery, Sales and Business Development Associate, Manufacturing.

We’re excited to build new relationships with members of our community and local businesses by providing quality products that they can be proud to use every day. We want our customers to smile every time they jot a note on a self-stick note pad or print out an address label for a package because they know that their purchase went back into their community and helped to create a positive opportunity for a neighbor with barriers to employment.

Part of Goodwill’s mission is to create job opportunities for people with barriers to employment, and the new e-commerce site provides the Finger Lakes community with a convenient way to purchase world-class products produced and packaged by the Goodwill of the Finger Lakes manufacturing team. In 1990, Goodwill of the Finger Lakes, alongside its mission program Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ABVI), began manufacturing self-stick notes, self-stick easel pads and self-stick flags through a partnership with 3M. Operations have since expanded to offer labeling solutions, technology products, janitorial supplies, workplace safety products and military uniforms.

Now the products are available online. Goodwill of the Finger Lakes’ manufacturing plant and team are housed and operated at the organization’s main campus located at 422 South Clinton Avenue.
