211/LIFE LINE provides essential Information & Referral services to the Rochester and Finger Lakes communities. When you need housing assistance, when you don't know where you will get your next meal, when you are down and don't know where to turn, all you need to do is dial these three numbers to talk to a Community Connector that will help you find the resources you need.
Last year, 211/LIFE LINE served nearly 200,000 people, and the needs of our community are growing. YOU can help 211/LIFE LINE meet the growing needs of the community by supporting the HELP Act!
The Human-services Emergency Logistics Program (HELP) Act is a bipartisan bill that would provide capacity-building resources to build out 211. This would allow 211/LIFE LINE to better connect vulnerable families and individuals to the local resources they need, ensuring all communities have an equal opportunity to thrive.
On February 11th, 2024 (which has been declared 211 Day), Legislators will be gathering at Goodwill of the Finger Lakes Headquarters to speak to 211/LIFE LINE leaders and to discuss the importance of 211 in the community. We would love to get 211 signatures on our Pass the HELP Act Petition to demonstrate the community's support for 211/LIFE LINE and the HELP Act!
